Soup Kitchen

As part of our community outreach, our parish serves and supplies one meal a month at the Walnut Hills Soup Kitchen, located on Gilbert Ave. Sponsored by our Social Action Commission, volunteers carpool to the soup kitchen, usually on the last Saturday of the month, to and prepare, cook and serve a meal to residents in need.

The interaction with and service to our brothers and sisters in need is a wonderful experience for individuals and families. Our parish also provides $300.00/month financial assistance to cover the cost of two additional meals and we also donate $700 to the soup kitchen to help cover air conditioning bills during the warmer months.

Sign-up sheets are posted on our bulletin boards at the church entrances two weeks prior to the soup kitchen date. Please contact Linda Smith at 513.791.9004 for more information.
